Make-up Tips for Women 50 60 70 80 Plus.

About Face
Learning to shadow and highlight your face can make you look younger, softer and sexier.  You can erase a double chin, bags and jowls. Take some tips from the stars. Some of them never age.
Expert make-up application is like painting a portrait. Way Bandy was the master. His book Designing Your Face is a must have for every woman. Way teaches you how to paint and sculpt the canvas. If you can find a copy it will become your go to bible.
Here are some helpful hints on how to put your best face forward...
Use powder or cream colors. Blending is most important. You do not want a hard line.

We all want higher cheek bones they lift the face. Your cheek bone has a top under and middle. Roll your finger over it and feel it.  Imagine a triangle with the largest part by the ear.  Light goes on the top. Blend. Shadow on the under. Blend.  Dust a little color on the bone in the middle. Blend it in. Do not apply color to apples of your cheeks; it makes you look like an old maid.
To disguise jowls: Shadow just under your jaw bone from ear to ear. Blend it toward your neck. Blend it again.
To disguise a double chin: Lightly shadow the area just under your chin. Blend it in.
Use your color lightly. You can always add more.

For bags under the eye Sudden Change Under Eye Firming Serum. Use it over your make-up. Fine lines and bags disappear. Men can use it too.

                                                           In The Mood

Spring strokes the sexual appetite.   Leather, lace and sheer heat it up.
Yes. We really need more sexy clothes.  We have seen celebrities on the Red Carpet with body baring dresses covering very little, their cleavage spilling out of tiny corseted bodices.  Flashback, The Golden Globes Eva Longoria with her left leg exposed up to her hip bone.
There is a hyper sexual yet chic change in the air. Designers are taking a trip into the provocative and major retailers are picking up on the sexy dresses.  The raw sense of seduction is no surprise. There is always a market for sexy.
This year Spanish inspired skirts long and lean with slits to the thigh showed up on The Runway.
Defining sexy is different for everyone. Your personality, body type and age all factor in. Overt or implied sexy clothes are about the body. Stella McCartney’s “The Miracle Dress” had an hour glass shape cut into and it sold out. Dresses that give the illusion of an exceptional figure, hiding flaws are in demand.  Women want to look sexy at every age. Clothes have the ability to empower, create confidence and attraction.
This season fashion brands found new ways to sell sexy.  Sex and Rock are two trends women love. Lingerie and bare skin peeked out from under leather jackets

The Ultimate Bling.
The definition of charisma may well be Heath London.  The American born beauty, jewelry designer and art collector is inspired by her travels. A recent trip to Palm Springs inspired hot pink tourmaline and fiery orange opal earrings.
She travels the world looking for unique treasures. Her luscious stones are set into glittering rings and eye catching earrings. “This large Ethiopian Opal came from a trusted Ethiopian gem dealer. There is only one stone like it in my collection. It is a big burst of sunlight and the diamonds just add that touch of sparkle”.
Ethiopian Welo Opal is like a disco ball. The colors explode out of the delicate stone. 8.12 cts. available at heathlondon.com

Dear Judaysia, I have been getting acrylic nails for years.  I would like to get rid of the acrylics, but my nails are so weak and brittle. What can I do?  Carol, San Diego
Dear Carol,
Take off the acrylics and just tough it out. Be good to your nails. Massage them gently with holistic creams. Your nails will grow back strong and healthy.
Cutting edge nail technicians are using bio gel in place of acrylics.  L.A’s go to nail technician Cheryl says bio gel lets your nail breathe so it can grow long and strong.   It has no fumes and no odor. Dries with a LED light.  Nails by Cheryl 818-880-6122
